ACE COMBAT ONLINE is a multiplayer experience featuring its own progression system and save data, separate from Campaign Mode. With full cross-platform support, pilots can team up with friends and players from around the world to take part in Co-Op Assault, Co-Op Warfare, special missions, and limited-time PvP and PvE events while building their reputation as mercenary pilots.

ACE COMBAT ONLINE FAQ
Yes. “ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE” includes “ACE COMBAT ONLINE”, an online mode that allows players to team up with pilots from around the world, tackle missions together, and build their reputation as mercenary pilots.
ACE COMBAT ONLINE is a multiplayer-only game mode featuring its own progression and save data separate from Campaign Mode.
The Air Base serves as the central hub for players in ACE COMBAT ONLINE and can accommodate up to 100 players at a time.
ACE COMBAT ONLINE features two core game modes: Co-Op Assault and Co-Op Warfare.
- Co-Op Assault focuses on player versus enemy combat, where two teams of four players compete for the highest score.
- Co-Op Warfare pits two teams of four players against each other with land, sea, and air NPC units also actively participating in the battle.
This is a feature in "Co-Op Warfare" where a player’s current "Threat Level" is represented by a number of stars. Players earn stars by continuously destroying enemy targets and scoring points without being shot down. The higher the number of stars, the more points are awarded for defeating enemies. However, a higher Threat Level also increases the number of points awarded to opponents if that player is shot down. Pilots who reach a 3-Star Threat Level are granted the title of “Ace.”
Yes. There are two types of special missions: Scramble and Emergency Sortie. These missions can occur randomly for a limited time while playing Co-Op Assault or Co-Op Warfare.
In Scramble, a team of four players takes on powerful NPC enemy forces.
In Emergency Sortie, up to eight players join forces to engage in fierce and challenging battles against legendary superweapons that have become iconic throughout the ACE COMBAT series.
Yes. ACE COMBAT ONLINE regularly features limited-time PvP events, including 4v4 Team Deathmatch and 8-player Free-for-All Deathmatch modes. Additional special events may also be available during specific event periods.
Players can pilot a wide variety of aircraft, including Fighters, Attackers, Multirole Aircraft, and Electronic Warfare Aircraft, each designed for specific combat roles. The roster of playable aircraft is the same as that available in Campaign Mode. However, ACE COMBAT ONLINE is a standalone experience separate from Campaign Mode. Aircraft must be acquired through rewards earned as a mercenary pilot within this online mode.
The ACE PASS is a progression system that rewards players as they earn ACE PASS XP by completing missions in ACE COMBAT ONLINE.
As players level up their pass, they unlock a variety of rewards.
Players who purchase the PREMIUM ACE PASS can earn additional rewards, including exclusive cosmetic items and immediate access to playable aircraft.
The ACE PASS is scheduled to be updated every two months.
In Season 1, players can obtain the playable aircraft ADFX-02 Morgan -PIXY- as the Level 1 reward.
The playable aircraft included in the PREMIUM ACE PASS are planned to be made available for separate purchase after the corresponding season has concluded.
